[ARCHIVED] Help Shape the Future of Greene County

Comp Plan Tag Line with Orange Background

What is a Comprehensive Plan?

The Comprehensive Plan is a roadmap for the future of Greene County.  It sets the policy direction for land use, economic development, housing and public facilities in the County.  The Plan will act as a blueprint for development in the County.  It will impact neighborhoods, businesses, traffic and the environment.  Georgia requires its counties and cities to update their plans every five years.

How Can I Get Involved?

The community will have several opportunities to let the Comprehensive Planning team learn about what is most important to the citizens as the project moves forward.  Those interested in submitting input can start now by visiting the Get Involved section of the Comprehensive Plan Update website  and signing up for project updates so you don’t miss the opportunity to provide your input.

Public Visioning Workshop

This will be the first opportunity to meet with the Comprehensive Plan team.  At the Visioning Workshop, the planning team will provide an overview of the planning process and highlight data that underscores the importance of planning for future growth and development. The meeting will include several interactive activities for community members to participate and share their perspectives on the county’s needs and opportunities.
