Greene County Development Authority

Overview

The Greene County Development Authority is a State of Georgia constitutionally chartered authority. The Greene County Development Authority was created in 1963 and amended in 1986. The Greene County Development Authority operates on a fiscal year from October 1 to September 30, with an operating budget provided by the appointing bodies.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Greene County Development Authority is to promote programs, policies, plans, and activities that seek to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for all in Greene County.

Members

The Greene County Development Authority includes six members appointed by the Greene County Board of Commissioners, the City of Greensboro, and the City of Union Point with each governing body having two appointees.
