The Clerk of Superior Court is elected county-wide to administer the proper registration and retention of official documents. Included are civil and criminal proceedings, real estate and personal property transactions, and various other records. The Clerk of Superior Court also administers the jury system.
The Coroner's Office investigates cases of homicide, suicide, accidental, undetermined, and all natural deaths that are sudden, unexpected, or medically unattended.
The responsibility of the Tax Commissioner's Office is to bill and collect ad valorem taxes due on Motor Vehicles, Real and Personal Property, Utilities, Timber, and Mobile Homes.
As an agent for the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles, this office also issues tags and renewal decals for all Greene County residents' vehicles.
