Documents Required for Land Disturbance Permit
- Completed Land Disturbance Permit Application (PDF)
- A copy of the Contractor’s Erosion Control Card
- Proof of a filed Notice of Intent with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division
- Full set of Erosion Control Plans
- Land Disturbance Fee(s)
- Less than 1 acre - $200 paid to the County
- More than 1 disturbed acre - $80 per disturbed acre with one half to the State and one half to the County
Land Disturbance Permit
The Land Disturbance Permit allows you to first install Best Management Practices (BMPs) as delineated on the approved erosion control plan to control runoff. Upon inspection and approval of the BMPs, the applicant will be allowed to proceed with:
- Drainage
- Grading
- Preparation of covenants
- Streets
- Utilities
Following approval, the developer must construct all improvements. The Land Disturbance Permit expires after 6 months unless renewed for an additional 6-month period.
