On April 21, 2025, Jaden Atkinson was sworn in as Greene County's newest Code Enforcement Officer before Judge Russell Wall. In this role, Jaden Atkinson is responsible for enforcing codes related to public health, safety, and welfare. This includes regulations and ordinances concerning:
- Construction
- Housing maintenance
- Rubbish
- Zoning
- Erosion control inspections
- Erosion control plan reviews
- Dangerous buildings
- Inoperable or unlicensed vehicles on public or private property
Atkinson is enthusiastic about his work in erosion control. He finds it fulfilling because he believes he is positively impacting the environment, helping to preserve the lake for future generations, and making a valuable contribution to the community.
