Public Notice
We regret to inform you that there have been delays in the processing and delivery of absentee ballot applications and absentee ballots due to the performance of the United States Postal Service (USPS). This delay may affect the timely receipt and processing of your absentee voting materials.
Alternative Voting Methods
We understand the importance of your vote and assure you that every effort is being made to mitigate the impact of these delays. However, we encourage you to consider alternative voting methods if possible.
- In-person voting, Monday through Friday, October 15th – November 2nd at the Board of Elections Office
- Voting on Election Day, November 5, 2024. Polls are open on Election Day 7:00 AM -7:00 PM at your assigned poll.
- Drop off your application or ballot at the Election Office located at 1180 C. Weldon Smith Dr. Greensboro.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding during this challenging time. We know that you did what you are required to do to receive an application and absentee ballot, and that the Greene County Board of Elections and Voter Registration Absentee Staff has done what they are required to do to make sure you get your absentee material. Unfortunately, once it leaves the election office, we are relying on the USPS to do their part of the process, in which they have not.
